An infrared thermometer helps you make sure the pizza oven is ready for cooking. Measure the center of the pizza stone. For the best pizza result, make sure the stone is at least 420°C or 800°F. If you cook your pizza on a too cold surface, the bottom may still end up soggy while the toppings may burn in the heat of the oven.
